BRC runners were out in force and gave it some force too as everyone skipped home with something to celebrate!! With representation in the half marathon and 10K races, BRC came home with 3 PBs, 3 course bests and two best in categories.
In the half marathon, Andrew Davies came in with a best of category time of 1:35:22(!!), part time runner and semi professional footballer Mr Ed Beards a scintillating PB of 1:40:06 (6 seconds to go!!), Mrs Sophie 'Marathon' Beards a course best of 1:58:50 and the wonderful Jean James a BOOOOSHING PB of 2:06:30 (the 2 is getting ever closer!!). Fantastic all round!!
Having looked at the half marathon and deciding that 10K would be plenty for a sunny Sunday morning, Karen Gibbons and William Laye headed off on the 6.25 miles in Wolverhampton. Karen not only beat her previous course best but went onto win her category for the second successive year in 47:58 (going for the triple crown next year?), William Laye also came away relatively pleased with a zippy sub 40 min time of 39:35 = PB (watch out Mo-here comes the Willbot).
Get the champers out!!
